Introduction
We have made the booking process as simple as possible to avoid
any unnecessary complications. However, it is important to have
a set of terms and conditions so that when you enter into a
rental agreement with us, you can be sure of exactly where you
stand, before you make the booking. In any agreement, both parties
have certain obligations, simple or otherwise - the terms and
conditions set out those obligations. We have combined the booking
process with the terms and conditions, so that you only have
to read one page to get all this information.
Booking Process and Terms & Conditions
1. Check that the apartment of your choice is available
for your intended dates of stay. You can do this be checking
the availability checker
for Apartment Rio or the availability
checker for Darija House.
2. Complete the online booking
form for Apartment Rio or the booking
form for Darija House - we require the details of your stay,
such as the date of arrival and departure, amount of people,
your contact details, etc. When you have completed the form,
press the submit button.
3. Your booking form will come to us via email, and we
will process the booking without delay. To do this we will first
double check that the apartment is available, and then we will
contact you by email with the following;
- a
confirmation that the apartment is available for
your chosen dates - we will hold this availability for
a short period whilst we await payment of your booking
deposit.
- a request for a booking deposit - this will be
20% of the total rental cost of your booking, this is
required to guarantee.
- details of our bank account (Raiffeisen
Bank in Dubrovnik) and instructions regarding the bank
transfer of the booking deposit. |
4. Once we have received the booking deposit we will
contact you without delay to confirm the booking details to
you, and supply you with all the information you require regarding
the booking and the apartment or house.
5. (APARTMENT RIO ONLY) When you arrive at the apartment,
you will be asked for the remaining 80% of the booking cost
and also €150 security deposit to cover any damages, (the
security deposit is of course 100% refundable at the end of
your stay when you return the keys to us).
5. (DARIJA HOUSE ONLY) The remaining 80% of the booking
cost is due 6 weeks before arrival by bank transfer (so if you
book within 6 weeks of arrival, you will be asked to pay the
100% cost in one lump sum. And £150 security deposit is
required on arrival to cover any damages, in either Euros, GBP
or Kunas, (the security deposit is of course 100% refundable
at the end of your stay when you return the keys to us).
Please note: unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards.
When the reservation is confirmed to you, we will give you all
the instructions about payment.
Cancellations
Please notify us immediately of any cancellations. The cancellation terms are as follows;
If you cancel at least 30 days prior to the arrival date, we will refund your booking deposit and any other payment you may have made (i.e. 100% refund).
If you cancel at least 7 days prior to 3pm on the arrival date, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to arrival, there will be a cancellation fee of the total booking cost.
Rules of the house (sorry, there is no escaping a few rules)
Defects - deficiencies, damage to, or failure of, any items
in the apartments must be reported to the owner immediately,
and not left until the day of departure.
Occupants - number must not exceed the maximum as indicated
on the tariff, and as stated in your booking form.
Pets - apologies, pets are not allowed.
Neighbours - renters must not cause a nuisance or disturb other
people living in the area.
Cleanliness - apartment must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
Children - Darija House has no child-friendly facilities and
is really only suitable for adults and children over 12.
Other Terms and Conditions
We cannot accept any liability for the safety of occupants. Occupants of the holiday home are fully responsible for their own safety and that of any dependants. We also cannot accept any liability for accidents that may occur.
We cannot guarantee the security of your personal possessions. We cannot be held liable for loss or damage thereto, from any cause whatsoever.
