London Map
One of the biggest challenges for visitors to London
is finding their way around. The capital city of England is,
by definition, a large sprawling city with many areas, districts
and neighbourhoods.
To get the most out of a trip to London we recommend looking
at an online London
Map website called MyLondonMap. From this website you
will be able to find specific areas by searching using postcodes,
street names, city names and area names. This makes life so
much easier when finding locations and planning routes.
You will notice on the homepage that there is a link entitled
London Tube Map.
From this page you can actually see the true geographical location
of all the central London tubelines rather than simply a graphic
artists simplification which is used in the official London
tube map. Just click on the tick box next to the underground
line that you want to see, and the line will appear on the map
in its colour and you will see each tube station dotted along
the route from the lines' start and finish points.
The website uses Google
mapping technology frm their google maps site. They have produced
worldwide maps which are draggable with full zoom capabilities,
which means that you can get a view over the whole globe or
you can zoom in right down to street level in any give place
on Earth.
There are a number of companies that provide different maps
such as historic
maps, wall maps, and ordinance
survey maps. They are all useful for your perusal. And for
an encyclopedic view of maps
visit wikipedia.org. And for a map
of London use MyLondonMap.
